Christmas Club

Our Christmas Club account is a smart and convenient way for you to save for the holiday season — or any other occasion for that matter. Make a daily, weekly or monthly deposit to ensure you have the funds you need when the holiday shopping season arrives!

Features included in the Club Account include:

          • Penalty-free pay-out date: November 1st – December 23rd

          • Quarterly statement provided

          • Automatically deposit through payroll deduction  

          • A $25 early-withdrawal fee helps incentivize Members to use the savings as intended.

Accounts for Minors

Fairfield Federal Credit Union helps Jefferson County parents and guardians teach their kids how to save and manage money by offering accounts to youth under 17 years of age. We offer:

Investment Savings

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)  offer unique and exciting savings opportunities based on your financial needs. Fairfield Federal Credit Union offers three options for you to choose which type of tax-advantage savings plan works best for you!

Traditional IRA

Contributions to this type of IRA may be tax deductible in the year in which the contributions are made, and taxes due on the earned interest are deferred until the funds are withdrawn.

Roth IRA

Contributions are post-tax and growth may be tax-free.

Since withdrawals are not reportable income, they will not affect your adjusted gross income during retirement. Contributions can be made after age 70½, and no withdrawals are required during the accountholder's life. Withdrawals from a Roth IRA are tax- and penalty-free as long as the account has been open for at least five tax years and you are either over 59 ½, disabled or buying a first home.

Contributions can be made up to April 15th for the previous year.

Coverdell Savings Account

Gives flexibility to families saving for college tuition and other related expenses.

          • Up to $2,000 per year may be deposited for each child under age 18.

          • Anyone can make a contribution — parents, grandparents, relatives, or friends

          • Earnings and withdrawals are tax free if used for educational expense by age 30

          • Can be transferred to another child in family

          • 10% penalty if used for another purpose

          • These contributions are not tax deductible, but dividends earned are tax free.

          • Contributions can be made up to April 15th.

Certificates of Deposit

To help you earn the most money, Fairfield Federal Credit Union always offers exceptional rates on our Certificates of Deposit. Our Certificate terms range from 3 months to 2 years, giving you the freedom to choose which rate and term best fits your needs.

Share Certificates of Deposit

Share Certificates of Deposit are another great way to save. You can open a Share Certificate Account with a minimum balance of $1,000. Share Certificates of Deposit are also available with terms of 3 months to 24 months.

Our Share Savings Certificates provide competitive, fixed dividend rates for each term.

Share Savings Account

Our philosophy that Members actually own shares in Fairfield Federal Credit Union led us to call these accounts Share Accounts. The name is unique, but a Share Account is essentially the same as a conventional savings account at any other financial institution. In order to continue FFCU membership in good standing, Members are required to maintain a minimum balance in their Share Accounts of only $5.00. In addition to FFCU membership, the Share Account entitles Members to dividends payments which are paid quarterly based upon the daily average balance method.
